We’ve called Abilene home our entire lives. As high school sweethearts, we’ve built our life and our business here in the same community that raised us.

Our path into home building didn’t start with houses. Wanting to work for ourselves, we first started a small mowing company. That eventually grew into construction clean-up work, where we spent time on job sites and around builders. Those early experiences helped lead us to building our first home in 2017.

BRO Custom Homes is named after us — Brandi and Ryan Olson. What started as a single project quickly grew into something more. We began with spec homes and still focus mainly on building specs today, while occasionally working with custom clients as well.

Over time, the business has grown into a true family operation. Ryan is on-site each day overseeing construction, with our son Payton often working alongside him in the field. Brandi leads the design side of each home, while our daughter Paige helps manage the office and day-to-day operations.

For us, this business has always been about more than just building houses. It’s about working hard for our family, creating opportunities for our children, and building something meaningful that can be carried forward for generations to come — all while continuing to serve the community we’ve always called home.
